Plain and simple, I got very sick and wound up in the hospital for about 3 weeks. I left this experience with kidney disease and MGUS (Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance). It’s all so crazy. Lots of things were thrown at me, most of them while I was still in ICU. I didn’t have anyone, really to help me navigate. I’m lucky, I have a support system. But I still have lots of obnoxious questions and I found that not even the questions I asked covered what I needed to know. Silly things like, “how does dialysis feel”. I figure maybe I can help someone else who might have questions or maybe be a forum for a little whining. I’m not really sure. What I do know is, I’m tired already and I don’t have the time to be tired. I have shittons to do and I still have to figure out how I’m getting to Hong Kong in a couple of years. Not to mention how the hell I get on a transplant list. This will chronicle my journey. I hope it has a happy ending.
